Hello, this is Denise, a pixel artist on a pixel journey. The Pathfinder is a pixel art project I created to showcase a side-scrolling platformer concept. Exploring character design, animation, and world building in pixel art through a lonely explorer roaming around strange terrain.

The Pathfinder

A tiny explorer with a helmet, visor, and suit, inspired by characters in games like Among Us. Includes 4 animations, idle, walk, attack, and one where the explorer jumps then floats with a hoverboard.

Sample Level Composition:

Included Assets:

A small set of props created to complement the Pathfinder and to explore visual storytelling and interaction possibilities.

Tileset:

Custom 16x16 terrain tiles made to explore world-building through tiling and layout. This tileset features ground tiles, platforms, edges, and inner blocks.
